Business value

Measuring time to value in agentic automation

A credible business case separates released capacity, actual cost reductions and the costs of operating the platform.

Fynite editorial guide · Illustrative patterns, not deployment documentation.

01

Set the baseline

Measure employees involved, weekly process hours, loaded cost and current software spend for one defined scope. Document the measurement period.

02

Model the coverage

Automation coverage is an assumption until tested. Estimate the proportion of work reduced and preserve human-review effort in the model.

03

Include operating costs

Account for implementation, platform subscription, runtime, maintenance and deployment-specific costs. One-time engineering avoided is distinct from recurring benefit.

04

Review realized results

Compare completed work, cycle time, quality and effort to the same baseline. Released labor capacity is not necessarily a cash saving.

Application

Capture supplier documents and the business request.

Illustrative vendor onboarding model. Enterprise processes can combine both approaches.

Buyer review checklist

  • Consistent baseline scope
  • Coverage assumption disclosed
  • Operating and one-time costs included
  • Results distinguished from modeled estimates
